SIMPLE REPAIRS

Simple Stucco Repairs are often called for after removal and replacement of new windows and doors, new additions, severe cracking and bulging caused by settlement and separation from the sheathing, and old soffits either at the eaves or at porch ceilings where the old lime based stucco will have become fatigued.

Simple Lath and Plaster Repairs are often necessary in old houses in the East Bay. Ceilings especially show cracking and fatigue, again because of lime content. For this, after first patching any loose spots, we roll out fiberglass mesh on the entire ceiling along with rolled-on bonder and two thin coats of plaster to the desired finish. This is typically done in a single day and therefore does not require return visits for sanding which in turn means minimum disturbance to the homeowner. In fact the homeowner can sleep under their new ceiling that very night.
