FACADE REMODEL

It can cost very little to remove an unappealing feature of an exterior, and create a more cohesive design, thus giving the residence instant curb appeal, as well as a more waterproof envelope.

Albany McGregor Stucco Home Facade Remodel Albany McGregor Stucco Re-Imagined

In the Albany bungalow above it meant re-framing of the roof to remove a square ugly entry, and re-stuccoing the entire house to get rid of an ugly texture. A new window was installed to bring more light into the kitchen.

The Tribune Press Building on the corner of 12th and Franklin in Oakland was recently restored. Berkeley Plastering was responsible for resurfacing and scribing of the original surface including waterproofing detail at all the replaced windows. The work also involved casting and placement of matching architectural detail on the exterior as well as restoration of an old Pantages Theater lobby ceiling.

San Francisco Exterior RemodelThe three story San Francisco residence was an ugly '80s shingled box. We replaced the shingles with stucco, added some small architectural features, and replaced the wood railings with steel cable.
